We are seeking people, in Alberta and British Columbia, Canada who would like to gather and supply us with naturally smooth stones for creating Rocknobs. So if you are seeking part-time employment, at your leisure, in a natural setting read on!

Who You Are

You might be a spry senior, an art student, a geology student, a mom who walks her toddler along the shore. You are definitely a person who loves to take nature walks along river courses, ocean beaches and/or lake shores, has an affinity for rocks, has some free time, and would like to augment your finances.

Here are some of the qualities we are looking for:

1. You have an eye for natural beauty and an artistic sensibility
2. You are trainable and can follow instructions and guidelines
3. You hold yourself responsible for what you say you are going to do
4. You have a flexible enough schedule to gather stones when we need them and relax when our inventory is full
5. You have the gift of attention to detail
6. You have or would like a sensitivity to the spiritual beingness of stones.

Job Description

As an independent Rock Gatherer, in your own time, according to your own schedule, you will:

1. Collect naturally smooth stones in a certain size range and with certain qualities for Natural Rocknobs of Canada
2. Wash them in fresh water and allow them to dry thoroughly
3. Sort them according to colour then package them in large size Ziploc™ bags
4. Label each bag with indelible marker with date, colour, and the location collected
5. Call or email to let us know what kind of rocks you have ready to send and we will discuss the best time to send them
6. Pack the bags into a boxes 100 - 500 lbs at a time and ship by bus C.O.D. to Calgary
7. A file box  size typically holds 500 rocks give or take, weighs 80 lbs give or take, which translates into a payment of about $100.00 (give or take!).
8. Expect a cheque within 2 weeks!

Compensation

As an independent supplier, you will be paid $0.20 for every rock we can use. We will train you so you know exactly what we are looking for. We will go through your shipment and determine which stones are suitable for becoming Natural Rockbnobs. We will ship the remainder back to you at your request and the shipping charges are, of course, yours.
